Silage Management | Silage SAVOR® brand Dry Flowable Preservative

Most producers like choices when it comes to the formulations for the products they buy. Smaller producers sometimes don’t want to bother with liquid application, and this product flows easily through commonly available dry mechanical applicators. Like Silage SAVOR brand dry preservative, this preservative promotes more uniform fermentation to help maintain nutrient value by reducing heating and dry matter loss in alfalfa haylage, corn silage, and high-moisture ensiled ground corn. Its buffered formula is easy on your equipment.

Usage tips:

• Harvest forage at proper moisture and maturity.
• Clean silo before ensiling a new crop.
• Apply Silage SAVOR dry preservative at the recommended application rate (see specification sheet) with an approved applicator to make sure it is thoroughly mixed in the forage.
• Cover bunker silos with weighted black plastic immediately after filling.
• Regularly monitor the heating and microbial stability of your silage.
• Follow label directions when using Silage SAVOR preservative.
• Available also in liquid and dry formulations to suit your situation.
